Paint Your Pinky
The ‘Paint Your Pinky’ event on the morning of Friday 3rd June at North Cottesloe
Primary was a resounding success.
At the 9:00am SchoolAssembly, Ken Collins spokeon Rotary’s Polio Program,
after which students painted ‘pinkies’ pink or purple,
while other studentscollected coins to immunise children in the endemic countries.
Headmaster Wayne Press, teachers and students all got into the spirit of the day
with‘free dress’ mainly in pink or purple.
Signs made by students on the significance
of the activity were displayed inside and outside
classrooms throughout the school.

We are nearly half way through our government contract with the Mental Health First Aid Workshops.
We are approximately halfway through our quota.
It is hoped that we can give enough evaluation forms to the Evaluator
to capture a good sample for their report.

With the new Rotary year on the horizon it would be great
to have clubs get a Community Project under their belt.
Below is the list of clubs that have held a workshop and the ones in the pipeline.
The government contract wishes to have all districts covered with this project.
I would like to have at least 1 Workshop in each district by December if possible.
Clubs that have already held a workshop can not do a second one
under the contract for obvious reasons.

"Quote of the Week"

After a recent college basketball game,
the coach spotted a phone lying on the floor.
He picked it up and handed it to one of the referees, saying
, "Here -- this must be your cellphone."

"What makes you think it's mine?" the referee asked him.
"Easy," the coach replied.
"It says you missed thirteen calls today."

----
John and Jennifer left the fertility clinic in tears.
They were just told that Jennifer could never become pregnant.
They would never have the family they both desired so fervently.

Suddenly, a masked man appeared before them.
"I think I can help you," he said, handing them a card.
"Why are you masked?" John asked.
"Because the government has declared our activities illegal.
Go to the address on this card.
The doctor will take a scraping from one of your mouths and culture it.
In less than a year, we will have your baby for you."
"This is the answer to our prayers!" Jennifer exclaimed.
Then she turned to thank the stranger but he was gone.
"Who was that masked man?" she asked her husband.
John answered, "That was the Clone Arranger"
