Rotary Dolphin Wishing Well Hillarys Harbour

(a joint venture between the Rotary Clubs of Hillarys and Wanneroo)

The wishing well is coming up to its sixth year
since the opening in March 2010,
over that time there have been collections of over $134.000.
The Dolphins rotate when a $2.00 coin is inserted .
This last month has seen the first lot of major maintenance done,
work being carried out by a dedicated team
of Rotarians headed by P.P Bill Kell
from the Rotary Club of Wanneroo
together with the consulting engineer David Miller .

By this time next year we hope to have reached the $150,000 figure.
The funds have allowed  local projects
to be carried out out by both Clubs .
This is a great example of where two Clubs get together
with a special project in mind.
We look at all Rotarians to support this project
by taking family and friends down to the
"Dolphins" at Hillarys harbour,
its a great place to take visitors from over  east
as well as visitors from overseas.

Past District Governor John Kevan spoke to the club on various topics:

Rotary Membership brochures are a good way to advertise the work of Rotary.
Spread them around.
The Community and Business Awards are coming up.
Nominate a local hero who goes above and beyond for others.
The Rotary District 9465 Conference
is on at the Bunbury Entertainment Centre from the 18-20 March.
Easy enrolment online and Cockburn Club already has a number attending
but there is always room for more.
The Rotary Bush fire appeal is progressing well
with various clubs providing on the ground support
and instantaneous support being provided.
